LariLee's Hutch - Finally...

As some of you know, I've had persistent problems with my left foot for over two years. After a bad accident last September, a bad infection set in almost two weeks ago. A week ago Monday, it went into my bone.

They amputated my leg that evening. Mom was admitted that day too (copycat :-D). She was placed in a nursing home as I could no longer care for her at home. I came home last Friday and am in a wheelchair. In a few months, I'll get a prosthetic leg.

My computer is down and should be fixed ion a a couple of weeks... I hope. I am writing on a Kindle Fire (long story there) and typing one letter at a time and am tired after my PT. But the good new is that I should be having some time to write! I want to finish up my stories and try some original stuff that refuses to leave my head.

I would love some happy thoughts, well wishes and prayers. Depression keeps hunting me.

Oh my god, darling, I am so sorry. What an absolutely harrowing experience, and to have to move mom into a nursing home on top of it? *enormous squishes* Love, hugs, healing vibes, thoughts, prayers, and more hugs to you. As for cheering? Well, if you continue to have access to the Kindle Fire, the sshg_exchange just started posting this week, so there are wonderful new things to read (this one has "instant classic" written all over it), and today a SSHG version of "All of Me" posted, so there are things to make you laugh as well as cry. And tomorrow is Friday, so we'll get some long stories to see us through the weekend. *sends more hugs for good measure*

Dear Larilee - I have wondered over the past few (many?) months how you were getting on - thinking about you, your mom and your brother.
Rest And get well - I hope your brother and Mom are ok - and I really really hope that you will get the help you need to recuperate properly.

Hello, silly girl! We have missed you. I know you will grow stronger each day a you adapt to your new challenge, and I hope the prosthetic is well-fitted and that you have good support from your medical attendants as you make that transition.

I, for one, STILL think about your stories and would be ecstatic to see them finished. Big hugs and best wishes heading into the holidays, sweetie.

Larilee, I'm so glad to hear from you, though I'm sorry that you've faced all that you have. I can't imagine how it must feel to experience all the changes life has brought you over the past year, but the optimism and strength evident in your post make me think that if anyone is up to the challenge, you are.

I've not been reading much in the fandom these days, but when you get back to writing, I'd love to return to your stories!
